Dr. Hsin Chih Lai serves as the General Manager of REVIVEBIO since 2023. He holds a Ph.D. in Pathology from the University of Cambridge (1994), a Master’s in Microbiology and Immunology from National Yang-Ming Medical College (1988), and a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology from National Taiwan University (1986).
Dr. Lai is a distinguished academic and industry leader with extensive experience in microbiology, immunology and biotechnology. He is an adjunct professor at National Taiwan University’s Department of Medical Laboratory Science and Biotechnology and holds multiple editorial roles in international scientific journals such as Frontiers in Pharmacology and PLOS ONE. He also serves as a board member of the Taiwan Microbiome Alliance.
Throughout his career, Dr. Lai has held key academic positions, including director roles in microbiome research centers and research institutes in both Taiwan and China. His research focuses on the interplay between gut microbiota and host immunity, discovery of novel probiotics and bioactive compounds, as well as the development of biosensors for infectious diseases, and to date, Dr. Lai has published or co-published over 137 SCI papers.
